Description: This presentation will provide an overview of two critical thyroid emergencies: thyroid storm and myxedema coma, as well as review any controversies associated with diagnostics and therapeutics of these two disease states. Participants will learn to recognize the clinical signs and symptoms of these life-threatening conditions and gain insight into evidence-based management strategies to improve patient outcomes in acute care settings.
