Objectives:
Outline the fundamental pathophysiology, clinical features, diagnostic criteria and therapy recommendations for beta-thalassemia.
Identify mechanisms of action, indications, monitoring, treatment logistics, supportive care, and reported clinical outcomes of current biologic medications and gene therapies used in the management of beta-thalassemia.
Evaluate individualized treatment strategies for beta-thalassemia based on patient-specific factors, including disease progression and clinical history.
