This educational activity serves as a vital resource for healthcare providers involved in cancer patient care, including physicians, nurses, nurse practitioners, physician assistants, and other clinical professionals. It also functions as a valuable learning platform for residents and fellows.
The program features a series of lectures and discussion sessions led by institutional, national, and international leaders in cancer research and oncology care. Participants will gain exposure to innovative therapeutic strategies—both recently approved and currently in development—while exploring the scientific breakthroughs that have driven these advancements.
In addition to treatment innovations, the activity provides in-depth insights into the history, pathology, radiology, staging, and management of cancer. Through the analysis of treatment protocols and evaluation of adherence to NCCN and Advocate Health Enterprise Cancer Guidelines, participants will enhance their understanding of evidence-based practices. The program also emphasizes the application of the AJCC TNM staging system to support accurate cancer assessment and treatment planning.
By integrating these elements, the activity aims to improve the quality of oncology care and patient outcomes through a multidisciplinary, guideline-driven approach.
