This course is designed for physicians, nurse practitioners, and physician assistants managing pulmonary critical care patients. Participants will analyze evidence-based management principles and integrate strategies for common pulmonary and critical care scenarios.

Overall Objectives:

1. Analyze evidence-based up-to-date management principles for the pulmonary critical care patient    
2. Integrate the management principles for ARDS into practice in order to improve patient outcomes    
3. Differentiate the rationale to support diagnostic and therapeutic best practice management of interstitial lung disease    
4. Examine ICU metrics (vent days, length of stay) to assess the need for practice change to meet benchmarks
